Overview of the Role:
The primary function of this position is to assist Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union to live out our Service Mission “Improving the financial well-being of each member and the communities we serve.,” One of the primary means to achieve this end is to develop a highly effective team of employees and develop each employee to their highest potential through coaching and leadership. Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members. When assigned as Manager for a branch location, responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Branch, including service delivery, compliance, product and service development, staff scheduling and policies and procedures. Directs the activities of the Branch Staff including coaching and training, and ensures that quality services are provided to members in compliance with federal regulations in addition to Credit Union's policies and procedures. Responds to questions and/or provides information upon request from members (internal and external). Assure that operations are functioning smoothly and efficiently during business hours. Assume the responsibilities of Branch Management in the absence of the Development Manager or Service Manager in the assigned location.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure team delivers service to both internal and external members that are in alignment with the credit union’s Service Promises.
  • Manage department staff with respect to strategic and proactive hiring, performance management, disciplinary action, and termination of employment when required.
  • Identify and provide coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance employee professional development and add value to the company.
  • Develop each employee to their highest potential by identifying their areas for improvement and appropriately   coaching, training or correcting the employees’ performance.
  • Recognize employees who perform at a high level and provide communication to their assigned Manager.
  • Under dual control, assist with opening and closing branch daily.
  • Assist in the daily operation of all branch units.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • In the absence of assigned Manager(s), responsible for coordinating the workflow of each branch unit.
  • Provides service and assistance to escalated Member service issues.
  • Assist branch management team with administrative duties including performance evaluations, employee discipline, attendance, timecards and adjustments branch communications, and the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Maintains dual control over negotiable instruments and devices.
  • Participate in periodic coaching sessions with staff.
  • Disseminate information regarding changes in policy and procedure, products, and service offerings in a timely manner.
  • Ensures the security and recap items are in balance at the close of the day.
  • Develop and promotes team spirit within the branch.
  • Recommend changes to branch policies and/or procedures to branch management, to improve the overall operations of the branch and service to the membership.
  • Assist in controlling branch expenses within budgetary constraints.
  • Assist in securing the premise through the proper activation of all security instruments, including: Premise, Vault, CDM, and ATM/ITM alarms as well as the premise’s cameras.
  • Comply with BSA and SAR requirements.
  • Exhibits confidence in self and others; Inspires and motivates others to perform well. Effectively influences actions and opinions of others.
  • Ensure that the branch meets sales and service goals as established by the Credit Union.
  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives.
  • Performs job duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.
  • Supervise branch staff. assign, direct, schedule, coordinate and review work performed by staff as assigned.
  • Direct daily credit union services operations within the branch in the absence of assigned manager(s).
  • Implement new policies/procedures to ensure proper interpretation.
  • Responsible for performing duties of Membership Specialist.
  • Handle member requests in a professional, prompt and efficient manner.
  • Effectively explain credit union products and services to members.
  • Cross-sell products and services when appropriate.
  • Refer members to the proper staff member as needed when unable to process request.
  • Responsible for the maintaining of approved levels of vault cash/change fund.
  • Ensures that proper procedures are followed and that records are maintained for the shipping and receiving of cash, exchanges with tellers and levels maintained in tellers’ drawers. 
  • Ensure proper branch compliance with Nassau Financial policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the achievement of credit union goals.
  • Travel to and work at other branch locations as required.
  • Required flexibility to cover at all physical branch locations Branch assignment can change same-day for coverage and business needs.

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
